Here we explore the meaning and work of ritual within Platonic mysticism—what distinguishes living practices from empty repetition, and how shared forms can train perception, steady desire, and open the soul to the intelligible. Drawing on Plato and later Platonists, the conversation considers ritual as a pedagogy of attention that binds myth, symbol, and daily habit into a path of transformation. Along the way, we test how small, embodied acts (from prayer and chanting to mindful routines) can become ladders for contemplation—cultivating a life that loves what the gods love.
